Hello there, you wonderful human being! I’m Abbie Dreamer, a Jesus-loving creator with a big heart for faith, joy, and creativity!

I’m very much a jack of all trades of a human. I’m an artist, storyteller, crocheter, singer… a volunteer for my church’s youth ministry and worship team, and I’m even studying computer science right now! 

 

The Creative Journey

I’ve been creating since I was a very young girlie. Some of my earliest memories are when I’ve had a pencil, crayon, or even a marker in hand! The creativity overflowed out of me as I filled every spare space I could with a drawing. Every spare item was also stolen by little me to make whatever craft I could! And yes, I still have some of them.

When I was about eight years old, my grandmother taught me the basics of crochet. It was probably harder than it should have been since… I’m left-handed and she’s not hahaha~ I made a few pieces as a child, and then promptly forgot how to hold a hook. It wasn’t until 2020 that I picked it back up during the boredom of COVID that took the world by storm. It quickly became one of the hobbies I remain highly passionate about!

I’ve been growing these passions throughout the years. They took over my life in every spare moment I’ve had. I picked up digital art when my dad got a drawing tablet for us, and I learned mostly on my own how to use Adobe Photoshop for art. I originally did all my digital art in MS Paint, actually! It was in high school that I properly learned about the features of Photoshop, allowing me to maximize the program and use it for all my artistic endeavors, thus fueling my passion even more for art.

But the biggest passion of mine has to be Jesus Christ💕 He came into my life and absolutely changed it, turning me from someone alone and hopeless to someone who has more joy and love than ever before.

 

My Walk with God

I grew up in a Christian household, but it wasn’t until 2018 that I learned that God wanted a personal relationship with me. I saw the example of my Youth Pastor’s life and how much joy and light he had as a result of his relationship with God. He was so satisfied with life and he was unafraid to be himself. All of that was because God was an active part of his life, and seeing that truth, I wanted that for myself.

So in 2018, I started my walk with God. I gave my life to Him and I took the time to get to know Him on a personal level.

2019 was when I had my first big, life changing encounter with God. During a night service at youth camp, God revealed to me how much He loves me. He removed my old identity of a bisexual, bigender woman and showed me who He made me to be: His daughter and His beloved. He removed the things I was trying to selfishly achieve (fame, fortune, success) and brought me back to Him. 

That was the most loved and the most alive I ever felt, right there in His presence.

Since then, I have walked side by side with God. I grew deeper in relationship with Him, getting to know His will for my life and His heart. He has given me a confidence, joy, and a new life that I never thought I would have. I never thought I would be excited about the future, but here I am, with God by my side as we build a future together!

Drawing closer to God has allowed me to create even more than before. He’s become the fuel for my creativity, and He’s the best creative partner! He has soooo many ideas–and ones that are more exciting than the ones I could create on my own!

God has given me the idea of creating a webcomic to depict that it is like to be in relationship with Him. This is the webcomic ✨Walking with the Waymaker!✨ It draws from my real experience of coming to know who God is and how to live life with Him by your side!

And now! Here I am creating things to glorify Him and His name~! It’s the least I could do for the one who gave His life up for mine!

 

The Dreamer’s Manifesto 

With everything I make and share, these are the values I want to embody!

Faith Centered	Everything I create is to honour God in some way, shape or form. Whether it's made in God's company or it's a declaration of my love for Jesus, each creation is made with God at the center.
Joy Filled	Let me add more light to this dark world! Since God is a part of my life, I have a joy like no other! Each piece is filled with the joy of the Lord and the pure joy of life and creation!
Creativity Overflowing	Another benefit of living in relationship with God is that I have the same creativity that made the world overflowing from me. There's a wide range of things that I create, and I don't plan on stifling it!

I hope that in everything I do, I reflect God’s love with my joyful, authentic creativity. I want people to feel seen and a little less alone. That God sees them and He loves them. I want to make the world a little brighter through my stories and art.

• Favorite Bible verse: Romans 12:2!!! THIS verse kickstarted me finding my identity in God!
• Favorite cozy drink: Thai Tea or Lavender milk tea, ESPECIALLY with boba!
• Favourite hobby: Art! (Duh!) Any and all of it, please!
• Favourite colour: Purple~ Followed closely by gold and yellow heheheh
• Favourite season: I’m a springtime girlie! I used to love autumn, then I realized I was a summer child (both birthday and enjoying the season), but right now, I looooove the beauty of springtime! Even if that means I suffer with the allergies hahaha
• Fandoms I have been a part of: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Steven Universe, UnderTale, Hamilton, Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, The Arcana: A Mystic Romance, and Genshin Impact, to name a few. I have characters for all of them heheh
• First online username: SuperStar-Hero hahaha~ I was but a child back then. I would like to apologize to those who knew me back then hahaha
• Musical Instruments: I learned how to play the piano and the recorder as a child! I do play guitar and Ukulele, but ultimately, my favourite instrument HAS to be the lovely kazoo!!
• The Dream™: I would LOVE to create for a living. I unironically would love to be a content creator and share the things I create full time. I’m so more than ready to throw myself fully into making videos for YouTube, running the blog on this website, drawing my webcomic, and even more! I got soooo much inside of me that needs to be released and let out! LET ME DO IT FULL TIMEEEEEEEEE
