I decided to redo Klimt’s “The Kiss” with myself and Jesus because there is no one else who has loved me the way He has. He has pursued me with such a depth and love when I felt so alone. He was always right there for me when things were changing and when friends drifted out of my life... He has always been consistent, right here by my side. He's seen me at my absolute worst and He chose to stay. He saw me when I was hopeless and without any motivation, and He showed up and gave me life.
With Him, life became more vibrant. Life was worth living.
Jesus gave me a living hope. He gave me love, and free access directly into the presence of God. I'm so thankful that He gave His life for me to find mine. I am fully seen and heard by Him. Not one moment I am ignored. He freely pours out His love on me. He sees the depths of my heart and soul and calls me beautiful.
This is why I choose to love Him in return. No one else can love me as wholly and as beautifully as He canđź’•
